support & crisis lines
In danger right now?
If you or someone else might be hurt, or you might act on thoughts of suicide, call your local emergency number now, or go to the nearest emergency department. 911 in North America, 112 across Europe and from most mobile phones, 999 in the UK, 000 in Australia, 111 in New Zealand. Each country below shows its own.
You are not alone, and you don't have to be in crisis to reach out. These are free, confidential lines for anyone who is struggling, sorted by region, with support for LGBTQIA+, trans, kink and fetish communities marked wherever we found it.
We don't run any of these services. This page is general information, not medical advice; see our legal policies. Numbers change: if one doesn't work, try Find A Helpline, and please tell us so we can fix it. † marks lines we could only confirm through a directory or news report.
Not listed yet. Try Find A Helpline, which covers more countries, and if you know a line there, tell us about it.

112 reaches emergency services from a mobile phone in the European Union and many other countries, even without a SIM card in some places.
116 123 is the free emotional support number in several European countries, including the UK and Ireland (Samaritans), Germany, Norway, Malta, Poland, Czechia, Hungary, Slovenia, Latvia and Lithuania.

sexual assault & consent violations
If someone ignored your no, your safeword or your limits, or did something you didn't agree to, it wasn't your fault. That stays true if you agreed to other things, had played with them before, or had been drinking. You don't have to call it assault or report it to anyone to talk to these lines. If it just happened, a hospital or sexual assault clinic can treat injuries, offer emergency contraception and HIV prevention (PEP works best when started within 72 hours), and collect evidence in case you decide to report later.

kink & fetish support
Being kinky is not a mental illness, and you deserve help from someone who won't treat your kinks or fetishes as the problem. There are no kink-specific crisis lines, so in a crisis use any line on this page. For ongoing support, these directories list therapists, doctors and lawyers who say they are kink-aware:

sextortion, blackmail & image abuse
If someone is threatening to share your photos or videos, or to out your sexuality or kinks to your family, partner or employer, unless you pay or do what they say, that is extortion, and it isn't your fault. Don't pay: paying almost always leads to more demands. Stop replying, but don't delete anything: screenshot the messages, usernames, profile links and any payment details. Block and report the account on the platform, and report it to the police. If the images were taken when you were under 18, use Take It Down and report it to the CyberTipline, even if you're an adult now.
Financial domination (findom) is a kink only while everyone is consenting and can stop at any time. If an arrangement turns into threats to expose you, demands you can't refuse, or money you can't afford, it has stopped being play.

human trafficking & forced labour
Trafficking is when someone uses force, threats, debt or deception to make a person do sex work, other work or sex they don't want to do. It can look like a relationship, a job offer or a "contract": someone who holds your passport or ID, takes your money, says you owe them a debt you can never pay off, controls where you go or who you talk to, or threatens you, your family or your immigration status if you leave. A power-exchange dynamic is only kink while you can say no and walk away.
You don't need to be sure it's trafficking, or have papers, to call. These lines are confidential, and talking to them doesn't mean you have to go to the police. Worried about someone else? They'll talk with you too. If you're in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.

sexual health, HIV & PEP
If you may have been exposed to HIV (a broken condom, sex you didn't agree to, or a needle or blood-play accident), go to a sexual health clinic or emergency department as soon as you can and ask about PEP. It has to be started within 72 hours, and the sooner the better. Clinics can also test for STIs, and talk to you about PrEP, a daily or on-demand pill that prevents HIV.
worried about your own sexual thoughts?
If you're worried about sexual thoughts or feelings towards children or young people, or about images you've been looking at, confidential help exists and reaching out before anyone is harmed is the right thing to do. These services are anonymous and don't judge you for having the thoughts.

know a line we're missing?
If your country has no confirmed line here, or you know a LGBTQIA+, trans or kink-aware service we've missed, tell us. We check every suggestion with the service itself before it goes on this page.
Please don't use this form if you need help right now. Call one of the lines above, or your local emergency number.
before you reach out
- You can stay anonymous on almost every line here. You don't need to give your name, and you never have to share your sexuality, gender identity or kinks to get help.
- If one line is busy or closed, try another, or try text or chat instead.
- If someone else might see your phone or browser history, use a private (incognito) window, and delete call or message logs if that keeps you safe.
- Worried about someone else? Most of these lines will also talk with you about how to help a friend or partner.
