Legal policies

The fine print, in plain words

Last updated October 10, 2026

All of gayfetishgoth.com's policies in one place: who the site is for, what the information here is (and isn't), how you may reuse what you find, what happens to what you send us, and how to reach us about any of it.

01About these policies

These policies apply to every page, image, file and feature of gayfetishgoth.com, including visitor profiles, dictionaries, the blog and the links directory. The site is run by GFG, llc ("gfg", "we", "us"), based in the United States, and is visited by people all over the world. By using the site you agree to these policies. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

02Adults only (18+)

18+ only

This site is for adults only: you must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher. It discusses fetishes, BDSM and sexuality in frank terms and is not safe for work. If you're not old enough, or if this content is not legal where you are, please leave now.

If you're under 18 and found your way here, you're not in trouble and there's nothing wrong with you. But there is no such thing as a safe kink community for minors, and we ask that you don't join "underage" kink groups or chats either. Look for safe-for-work communities built around your interests, and come back when you're an adult. We'll be the first to welcome you.

What we do about minors

  • No one under 18 may create a profile, submit content or contact us through the site's forms. We delete profiles and submissions we believe were made by a minor.
  • We do not allow, and will never knowingly publish, any sexual content involving minors. We report suspected child sexual abuse material to the authorities and cooperate with law enforcement.
  • If you see anything on the site that involves or appears to be made by a minor, please tell us right away and we will act on it.

03Not medical or legal advice

Please read

Everything on this site is general information for adults, shared for education, discussion and entertainment. It is not medical, health, psychological, legal or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for it.

  • Health. Nothing here replaces advice from a doctor, nurse or other qualified health professional who knows your situation. Talk to one before trying any activity that could affect your body or health, including activities involving blood, breath, heat, piercing, restraint or impact, and about sexual health, STI testing, PrEP/PEP, diet or supplements.
  • Mental health. Writing on identity, relationships and coming out is personal perspective, not therapy or counselling. If you're struggling, please reach out to a licensed professional or one of the support lines below.
  • Law. Descriptions of laws, court cases, consent or age rules are general background, mostly about the United States. Laws are very different from country to country and change over time. In many places consent is not a legal defense to injury caused during BDSM, and in some countries same-sex relationships or sexual content like this site's are themselves illegal. For advice about your own situation, speak to a lawyer licensed where you live.
  • Emergencies. If someone is hurt, unconscious, not breathing normally or bleeding heavily, stop and call your local emergency number immediately. Don't rely on anything you read here.
  • No professional relationship. Reading this site, or contacting us, does not create a doctor–patient, lawyer–client, therapist–client or any other professional relationship.
Emergency numbers around the world
  • United States, Canada, Mexico: 911
  • European Union: 112
  • United Kingdom: 999 or 112
  • Australia: 000
  • New Zealand: 111
  • India: 112
  • Brazil: 192 (ambulance)
  • South Africa: 10177 (ambulance), 112 from a mobile
  • Japan, South Korea: 119 (ambulance)
  • Philippines: 911

In most countries, 112 also works from a mobile phone. If your country isn't listed, look up its emergency number before you need it.

Crisis and LGBTQ+ support lines
Sexual health information and testing
  • Worldwide: the World Health Organization on sexual health; aidsmap for plain-language HIV information; PrEPWatch for where PrEP is available in your country.
  • United States: find free and low-cost testing at gettested.cdc.gov.
  • United Kingdom: find a sexual health clinic through the NHS.
  • Everywhere else: most countries have free or confidential sexual health clinics. Your doctor, a local LGBTQ+ centre or a pharmacist can point you to one.
Laws where you live
  • Worldwide: ILGA World tracks laws affecting LGBTI people in every country, including where same-sex relationships are criminalized.
  • United States: the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom works on legal issues affecting kink and BDSM communities.
  • Everywhere: if you need advice about your own situation, contact a local lawyer, legal aid service or LGBTQ+ legal organization.

04Your choices, your risk

Many activities described on this site carry real risk of injury, infection, lasting harm or death, even when done carefully and by experienced people. Some, such as breath play, have no safe way to do them. Describing an activity, a technique or a "best practice" here does not make it safe, legal or right for you.

You alone decide what you do, with whom and how. Every activity must be between consenting adults who can freely say no at any time. If you choose to act on anything you read here, you do so voluntarily and at your own risk, and you are responsible for following the laws where you are.

05Views and endorsement

The site documents fetish and kink culture as it exists. Describing, defining or discussing something is not an endorsement of it, and does not mean we or anyone connected with the site practise it. Opinions in blog posts and articles belong to their authors.

We do not condone any unlawful act, any non-consensual act, or any sexual act involving a minor.

The site's own images, graphics and artwork are artistic and illustrative, and are not intended to be sexually explicit. We may remove any image a visitor uploads that is.

07Our name, logo and link graphics

The gayfetishgoth name, the gayfetishgoth wordmark and the bat-wing emblem are copyrighted and are trademarks of GFG, llc. You may use them only to link back to gayfetishgoth.com or to refer to the site by name, for example in an article, a review or a directory listing. Any other use needs our written permission.

Please use the official files from our brand and media kit exactly as supplied, with the © mark in place. Don't alter or recolour them, use them as or in your own logo, name or avatar, put them on merchandise, or use them in a way that suggests we sponsor, endorse or run your site or event. We may ask you to remove our marks at any time.

Linking to us and reciprocal links

Anyone may link to gayfetishgoth.com without asking. Ready-made link buttons and banners, with HTML you can copy, are in the link to us section of the brand kit.

When you submit a site to our links pages, we ask personal sites to link back to us. For communities, shops and resources a reciprocal link is welcome but not required. Listing a site doesn't mean we endorse it (see Links to other sites), and we may change or remove a listing at any time.

08Reporting copyright infringement

We respect other people's rights. If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, wherever you are, send us a notice through our contact form with:

  • your name, address, phone number and email;
  • a description of the copyrighted work;
  • the URL of the material on our site you believe infringes it;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and
  • your physical or electronic signature.

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice the same way. We may remove material, and end the access of repeat infringers, at our discretion.

09Your submissions

When you create a profile, submit a dictionary entry, flag or link, or send us a message, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18, and an adult where you live;
  • you wrote it or have the right to share it, and it doesn't break anyone's copyright, privacy or other rights;
  • it doesn't include anyone else's personal information without their consent, and isn't threatening, harassing, hateful or illegal; and
  • it contains no sexually explicit images and nothing involving a minor.

You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide permission to host, display, edit for length or format, and publish it on the site. You can ask us to remove your profile or submission at any time.

We review submissions and may decline, edit or remove any of them, at any time and without notice. We are not responsible for content posted by visitors, and visitor content does not reflect our views.

11Privacy

What we collect

  • What you send us: your name or nickname, email address and message when you use the contact form, and whatever you enter in a profile or submission.
  • Technical data: like nearly every website, our host's servers automatically log IP addresses, browser type and pages visited, used for security and to keep the site running.
  • Your theme choice: if you switch between light and dark mode, your browser remembers it on your device. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

We use what you send only to reply to you, to publish what you asked us to publish, to moderate the site and to stop spam and abuse. We never sell, rent or trade email addresses or personal information, and we never add you to a mailing list without asking.

Who else is involved

The site is hosted by Hostinger, which stores the site's data on our behalf, and that data may be stored outside your country. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and links or buttons to Facebook connect to Facebook when used; those services may receive your IP address under their own privacy policies. Profiles and submissions you choose to publish are public and may be indexed by search engines.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to remove your profile, by contacting us. We will answer within 30 days. We keep messages and submissions only as long as we need them for the reasons above. No website is perfectly secure, so please don't send us anything you would not want exposed.

Your privacy rights where you live

We honour the requests above for everyone, wherever you live. Depending on your location, the law may also give you specific rights:

  • European Union, EEA and United Kingdom (GDPR): we process your information to answer and publish what you send us (your request or consent) and to keep the site secure (our legitimate interests). You can access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, take your data elsewhere, withdraw consent at any time, and complain to your local data protection authority.
  • California and other U.S. states with privacy laws: you can ask what we hold about you and ask us to delete or correct it. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and we will never treat you differently for asking.
  • Canada, Brazil, Australia and elsewhere: you can ask to access and correct your information, and in many places to have it deleted. You can also complain to your national privacy regulator.

Information about sexuality is especially sensitive. Only share in a public profile what you are comfortable having seen by anyone, anywhere.

12Warranties and liability

We try to keep the site accurate and up to date, but much of it is reference material gathered from the community over many years. The site and everything on it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent the law allows, GFG, llc, its owners, contributors and hosts are not liable for any injury, loss or damage of any kind arising from your use of the site, from relying on anything in it, or from acting on information in it. Some countries and states don't allow certain limits on liability, so some of this may not apply to you, and nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.

These policies are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

13Changes and contact

We may update these policies from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

Questions about permissions, these policies, your privacy or anything else here: contact us.
