A casual social meetup for kinky people, usually at a restaurant, café or bar, with no play and normal clothing. Munches are the most common first step into a local scene: a low-pressure way to meet people face to face before going to a party.

Many munches are themed by age, gender, interest or community, such as rope, pups, leather or TNG groups for younger adults.
