Gentlemen are known for providing assistance to others close by, such as offering to open a door for someone, or offering a seat to someone having difficulty standing.
While not always the case, a kink dynamic involving a Gentleman may also involve adherence to "good manners" in behavior and interactions, and/or a specific code of dress.
The term gentleman typically refers to a male person, just as Lady typically refers to a female person.
