A leather pet is a type of pet-player who participates in pet play dynamics while identifying strongly with leather culture. Leather pets may serve or belong to a Handler, Owner, Trainer, or Sir/Madame within a structured power exchange dynamic that blends animal roleplay with leather traditions.
Leather pets may followed structured protocols, provide emotional or service-based support to their handlers, and engage in animal behavior. They might also participate in leather households or pack structures.
Uniforms, leather gear, and collars are often used as symbols of ownership or markers of earned status.
